Foot Valve
Reliable Pump Protection & Backflow Prevention at the Suction End.
The Claval Foot Valve is a globe-body style check valve engineered for installation at the suction end of pumps to prevent backflow and maintain pump prime at all times. Its integrated strainer filters out debris and particulates before they reach the pump, protecting equipment and preserving line integrity. Designed for high flow rates with minimal pressure loss, the Claval Foot Valve is suitable for water, oil and a wide range of process fluid applications across oil and gas facilities.
Benefits:
- Prevents backflow and loss of pump prime — globe body design holds fluid in the suction line during pump shutdown, enabling reliable restart without manual priming
- Integrated strainer at the inlet filters debris, sediment and particulates before they enter the pump or downstream pipework
- High flow capacity with minimal pressure drop ensures pump efficiency is maintained across varying demand conditions
- Fusion bonded epoxy coating provides long-term corrosion protection for extended service life in aggressive environments
